Restoring Your Broken Fellowship with God

Date: March 8, 2020 | Speaker:

How would you react if you went in for major surgery and the doctor came into the operating room with filthy hands and rusty instruments? Just the thought of it is unsettling! While cleanliness is important in the physical realm, it is far more important in the spiritual realm. Even though we are already completely righteous through Christ, sin still hinders our daily walk, and it breaks our fellowship with God. Thankfully He has provided a way for us to be cleansed and to restore our communion with Him. Are you using this simple tool He has given us to constantly maintain your fellowship with God?

When God Seems to Lead the Wrong Way

Date: January 12, 2020 | Speaker:

So, there you are, faithfully following God, when all of a sudden you find yourself right in the middle of another trial! Have you ever wondered why God leads you into so many tests of faith? Today we find the Israelites trapped between an approaching Egyptian army on one side and the Red Sea on the other. Why did God lead them there? Does He not care about them at all? Even though there was an easier route, God brought them to this crisis in order to show His power. Could it be that the situation you are wishing would disappear right now is the very thing God wants to use to show His power and strengthen your faith?

Who Am I God, and Who Are You?

Date: November 3, 2019 | Speaker:

Any life that is going to be used by God must be humbled and broken first. This is God’s process of showing us who He really is, and who we really are by comparison. But we fight against this process because we don’t want to be humbled; we don’t want to be broken. And so we continue trying to live in our own strength, by our own resources, and in doing so, we miss out on what God wants to do through us. Are you still resisting this work of God in your life?

The Gracious Wounds of God

Date: September 22, 2019 | Speaker:

At times in life we tend to go our own way instead of walking with God. In fact, sometimes we don’t just walk away from Him, we actually run! But if we truly belong to Him, He will not let us run forever. Often He will have to break us, wound us, in order to keep us from going astray and forgetting our dependence upon Him. These wounds might be painful, but they are really the marks of grace. They are proof that He knows us and loves us enough to keep us close to His side.

In the Beginning, God…

Date: January 20, 2019 | Speaker:

To believe anything in the Bible, you must believe the very first verse in the Bible. A person who does not believe Genesis 1:1 will never believe the rest of the Bible. This opening statement declares boldly that there is, in fact, one true God who has existed forever, who created everything, and who therefore owns everything, including our lives. This single sentence, “In the beginning, God created…” makes it clear that we are not here by random chance; that our lives do have extraordinary meaning, value and purpose, and that there actually is a higher Authority to whom we must answer. Have you ever come to terms with this truth?

The Gifts of Christmas

The Gift of Salvation

Date: December 23, 2018 | Speaker:

You have probably received some strange gifts at different times in your life; things that ended up in a closet or in the attic because you simply had no use for them. But once in a while you get a gift that seems perfectly suited for you. When Jesus came into the world, He brought us the costliest, most thoughtful and most practical gift ever given — the gift of salvation. It is the one gift you cannot afford to live without, or die without! He is offering it to you today. Have you ever received it?

A True Disciple is Obedient and Loving

Date: October 7, 2018 | Speaker:

We all have our own ideas of what love is, but the Bible provides the only true definition. It tells us that we cannot just say we love God and love others; our actions must back up our words. We prove our love for God, not by talking about it, but by obeying His commands. And we prove our love for others, not through words, but by serving them and sacrificing ourselves for them, just as Jesus did for us. If we don’t obey God, we don’t love Him. If we’re not serving others, we don’t love them. So, how is your love?

Blessed are the Meek

Date: July 22, 2018 | Speaker:

Of all the virtues people aspire to in life, meekness is rarely one of them. We don’t elect politicians who are meek. Corporations don’t look for meek CEO’s. Yet Jesus, the greatest leader who ever lived, was described as “meek and lowly in heart.” The Bible says that meekness will be one of the identifying marks of a follower of Christ. But what exactly is it, how does one obtain it, and how is it displayed in the life of a true believer?

Living in View of God’s Love

Date: January 14, 2018 | Speaker:

Life is short and the world is filled with trouble as a result of man’s sin, and we all feel the impact of that. Is there somewhere we can turn to find true, lasting love and satisfaction that can actually make us rejoice and be glad regardless of what is going on around us? The world promises satisfaction, but it never lasts. Only the Bible has the answer. Have you found it yet?

Living in View of Eternity

Date: January 7, 2018 | Speaker:

The Bible tells us repeatedly that our lives are very short, and it urges us to live out our brief days wisely. In view of that reality, the looming question is, what are we doing to guarantee that our time on this earth will matter for all eternity? We begin this new year by looking at the extraordinary wisdom found in Psalm 90, and we learn how to count our days so that we can make sure our days will count.

Giving Thanks for God’s Goodness

Date: November 26, 2017 | Speaker:

We use the word “good” to describe all kinds of things from food, to events, even the weather. It has become such an overused and common word that when the Bible describes God as being good, it doesn’t really impact us. Yet if we stop to truly consider all the ways God’s goodness has transformed our lives, we will be overwhelmed with thankfulness for who He is and for all He has done for us!

Life Goes On…

Date: November 12, 2017 | Speaker:

After winning such a stunning victory over their enemies, the people were once again faced with the realities of life. Taxes were raised, new enemies came along, and there were more battles to be fought. The peace they enjoyed was only temporary. All this was a reminder that the peace man works for doesn’t last. True lasting people can only be found in Jesus Christ. Have you ever brought your troubled heart to Christ to find peace?
