Care Ministry

Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the Law of Christ. — Gal. 6:2

At LifePoint we want to be a church family that helps take care of each other during the difficult times of life. In the Old Testament, God instructed landowners to leave what the harvesters missed so that the poor, alien, widows, and fatherless could glean for their needs (Lev. 19:9; 23:22; Deut. 24:19). In the New Testament, in Acts 2:44-45, the early church was so dedicated to each other, they even sold things to provide for one another.

With our busy lives, it is sometimes easy to neglect being there for each other and supporting each other no matter what it takes. Our goal is to make LifePoint a church that encourages what has been lacking.

The Care Ministry is a group of people who help oversee the needs of the church family. If someone is hurting, we lend a shoulder to cry on. If someone is ill, we provide them with meals, visitations, or housekeeping. Whether it is something as simple as a hug or a ride when transportation is needed, our ministry works as a liaison to the whole family so that we all carry each other’s burdens. We are fortunate to be a part of a church family that loves and cares for one another.

Are “mercy, serving, or giving” among your spiritual gifts? Do you share the same passion to help carry the burdens of your church family? Then we urge you to pray about getting involved with this ministry. To sign up or to request more information, contact Angela Huber.
