When we’re physically thirsty, we know that a cool glass of water will quench that need. But when we’re spiritually dry, we often look in all the wrong places, trying one thing after another to quiet the longing inside us. Eventually, we realize that the things we pursue simply cannot fill the ache within. Then we hear Jesus speak these life-giving words: “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink.” Have you ever laid aside everything else and come honestly to the One who alone can satisfy your deepest yearning? The Marks of a True Disciple
Are you just a believer in Christ, or are you a disciple of Christ? There is a difference between the two! His last words to the world were not, “Sit around and believe in me.” They were, “Go and make disciples.” But what does a true disciple of Christ actually look like? What does it really mean to follow Him? How do we know if we ourselves are disciples rather than just church-goers?
