Sermons about Communion

Redeemed!

Date: September 14, 2014 | Speaker:

Imagine yourself being chained in a dark, gloomy dungeon, kept as a slave by a cruel master, with no hope at all of ever being set free. That is exactly the condition we were all in before Christ! We were slaves of Satan and bound by the chains of sin, with absolutely no way to buy our own freedom. But God loved us so much that He paid the price for our ransom by sacrificing His Son on the cross. Christ paid for us with His own precious blood, and because of this, we have been redeemed!

The Humiliation of Christ

Date: June 29, 2014 | Speaker:

When we read in the Bible that Jesus left heaven and came to earth to save us, do we have any idea just what that really means? The King of glory laid aside His royal robe and wrapped Himself in human flesh. He exchanged His home in heaven to have no place to lay His head on earth. He willingly endured mocking and slander, was abandoned by His closest friends, suffered an excruciating death on a cross, and He did it all for you!

He Died In My Place

Date: March 2, 2014 | Speaker:

When something monumental occurs in our life, it has the power to change us forever. Depending on the circumstance, we may want to erase that event from our memory, or intentionally remember how greatly we have been impacted by it. How important is Jesus Christ’s sacrifice to us? How often do we really focus on what He has done for us? (The last few minutes of this message were lost, but the heart of the message is still intact for you to listen to.)

Spiritual Food

Date: January 5, 2014 | Speaker:

A Spiritual Life requires Spiritual Food. As born again believers, we must nourish ourselves with Christ; He is the bread of life. Do you feel spiritually dry, or spiritually dead? Have you been eating at the table with Jesus; enjoying fellowship with Him? For the two on the road to Emmaus, it was once they sat down to fellowship with the stranger that they understood. Their eyes were opened when Jesus broke and shared the bread.

Finding Satisfaction that Lasts Forever

Date: June 30, 2013 | Speaker:

There are inner hungers within every human heart that long to be fulfilled. The heart yearns to know, “Who am I? Why am I here? Where did I come from? Where am I going? Does my life have any real meaning and purpose?” While we may search for answers to these questions in the things of this world, we will always be left empty and unsatisfied. That is because the fulfillment to man’s deepest longings can only be found in Jesus Christ. Jesus said, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry.” If you turn to Him, you will discover satisfaction that lasts forever!

Our Dying Savior Gives New Life

Date: May 19, 2013 | Speaker:

The death of Christ on the cross changes more than our legal status before God in heaven. It does more than just save us from our sins and give us a home in heaven. His death must also bring about a complete change in our daily walk here on earth. It is impossible for anyone to have a genuine encounter with Jesus Christ and walk away unchanged! Today we celebrate not only the death Jesus died, but the life He gives. Are you living that new life?

Communion Service (4/15/2012)

Date: April 15, 2012 | Speaker:

During World War II, men in a prisoner of war camp were radically changed when they saw an innocent soldier lay down his life to save theirs. Decades after that event, they still remembered that soldier and paid tribute to his selfless sacrifice. Join us for today’s message as we pause to remember the ultimate sacrifice that was made for us when Jesus willingly laid down His life to save us. How has this great sacrifice affected you?

Being Thankful in All Circumstances

Date: November 27, 2011 | Speaker:

We have been blessed with so much and have been given so much by God that we have come to expect it. We don’t really see our blessings as “blessings” anymore… we see them as the “normal” standard of life. Therefore, when anything in our life is taken away, we grumble and feel like we’re truly suffering, and we sometimes even get angry at God. If there is anything in your life that you are struggling to give thanks for, today’s message will help reset the benchmark on what true thanksgiving really is.

The Greatest Sacrifice

Date: May 29, 2011 | Speaker:

As Americans, we observe Memorial Day to honor and remember those who have given their lives for our freedom. But may we never forget that the greatest sacrifice ever made was when Jesus willingly bore our sin and died on the cross to purchase our freedom. For us, every day should be a “Memorial Day” as we honor and remember our Savior for shedding His innocent blood to save us!
