What Is Baptism All About?

Date: January 2, 2022 | Speaker:

To people outside the church, baptism seems like a strange ritual. Why dunk people under water? What does that mean, and what does it accomplish? Does getting baptized mean you’ll go to heaven? Can anyone be baptized? In this brief message we’ll answer those and other important questions by seeing what the Bible actually says about baptism.

Glory of God

Date: December 26, 2021 | Speaker:

The glory of God is expressed in the person, character and nature of Jesus Christ. The cross is the ultimate expression of the glory of God on earth with reference to God the Father (His love, grace, mercy) and to Jesus Christ (His humble submission in obedience to the will and predetermined plan of God the Father). The outworking of the glory of God in the cross is salvation and eternal life to lost humanity. When born again believers live out the character of Jesus Christ, believers are glorifying God and reflecting His light. This is only able to be achieved through the ministry of the indwelling Holy Spirit.

The Believer’s Position in the Grace of God

Date: January 3, 2021 | Speaker:

How many good works does it take to earn salvation? How clean do you have to make yourself before God will accept you? The fact is, salvation cannot be earned. Salvation is a gift from God, given out of His great love, mercy and grace to all who believe. It is only through faith in Christ Jesus that we can be transformed from death to life, from darkness to light, from hopelessness to having the unshakable certainty of eternity in heaven! Have you ever trusted in Christ to save you, or are you still trying to earn it?

Christmas: The Wonder of WHY

Date: December 20, 2020 | Speaker:

For many people, Christmas is just another holiday. It has no more significance to them than New Year’s Day or Valentine’s Day. But the fact is, Christ’s coming into the world has eternal consequences for every one of us. Our sin had forever cut us off from God and put us under His wrath, and we had no way of rescuing ourselves. Christ came to save us from our sin and free us from the judgment of God, and that’s why we celebrate Christmas.

The Choice of a Lifetime

Date: August 2, 2020 | Speaker:

During our lifetime we make thousands of choices. Some choices, like which shirt to wear, have little or no significance; while other choices, like who to marry, will affect the rest of our lives. But the Bible says there is one choice every person on earth has to make, and the result will either bring you life or death. The decision seems simple, but many people choose wrong every day. How will you answer this choice of a lifetime?

Resting in the Finished Work of Christ

Date: May 3, 2020 | Speaker:

How good do you have to be for God to let you into heaven? Well actually, you have to be absolutely perfect! That’s really bad news for all of us. Leviticus shows us the long list of standards that God requires, but it also shows us that Jesus met all those requirements on our behalf, so now all we have to do is believe on Him and rest in His finished work, and that’s the best news we could ever hear!

What Gives God the Right to Judge Me?

Date: June 30, 2019 | Speaker:

Maybe you’ve heard someone say, “If God is loving and kind, He would never judge anyone!” That may sound logical, but those same people cry out for justice and judgement the instant their child or spouse falls victim to a terrible crime. Their actions prove that wrong doing and evil must be judged. The lack of justice is, itself, wrong. Today we look at the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah and see why judgement had to fall. But we also see that God’s desire to save is far greater than His desire to punish!

In the Beginning, God…

Date: January 20, 2019 | Speaker:

To believe anything in the Bible, you must believe the very first verse in the Bible. A person who does not believe Genesis 1:1 will never believe the rest of the Bible. This opening statement declares boldly that there is, in fact, one true God who has existed forever, who created everything, and who therefore owns everything, including our lives. This single sentence, “In the beginning, God created…” makes it clear that we are not here by random chance; that our lives do have extraordinary meaning, value and purpose, and that there actually is a higher Authority to whom we must answer. Have you ever come to terms with this truth?

How the Bible Defies the Odds

Date: January 13, 2019 | Speaker:

Take 40 people to the library and tell them to choose any books they want. Some people must choose more than one so that there are 66 books in all. What are the odds that all 66 books would be in agreement and form one continuous story? It is statistically impossible! The 66 books of the Bible were written by 40 authors from diverse backgrounds, living over a period of about 1,500 years, and yet when all 66 books are brought together, they form one complete, unified story from beginning to end. This is just more evidence confirming the Divine authorship of this amazing Book.

Can We Trust the Bible?

Date: January 6, 2019 | Speaker:

Do you believe the Bible is really a supernatural book inspired by God? If so, why do you believe that? Is it just because that’s what you were taught growing up, but you’ve never examined it for yourself? Are you absolutely certain that the Bible is true and trustworthy? Today we explore some of the amazing historical and scientific evidence that demonstrates the Divine authorship of this incredible Book, and you’ll have even more reasons to know that you really can trust the Bible!

Questions & Answers

Date: June 25, 2017 | Speaker:

God’s truth is wonderful to hear and be encouraged by, but it is even better to apply those truths to real situations. This session builds on the principles we established the previous week by applying them to real questions that a lost world is asking. Listen as we go step by step and discuss how to respond to those questions in a thoughtful and Christ-honoring way which communicates not only the Truth of God, but also the Heart of God.

Engaging a World that is Hostile to Your Faith

Date: June 18, 2017 | Speaker:

Every now and then, you will come across someone who feels the freedom to be confrontational when they find out that you are a Christian. They may ask you a loaded question or raise an objection that challenges your beliefs. This message is designed to encourage you with some key reminders about the awesome God you worship and the solid foundation on which your faith rests. It will also help you to be more thoughtful before responding in those highly charged encounters. Lastly, it will remind you that our Lord Jesus was also confronted by a hostile culture, and we can look to His example of how to respond with humble, quiet confidence.
