Your Life — God’s Purpose

Date: May 9, 2010 | Speaker:

Jesus makes an almost unthinkable statement in John 9, that a certain man had been blind from birth for one reason — so that God could be glorified through it. How do we view the pain and struggles that come into our lives? Do we get angry at God for being unfair and allowing them to happen, or do we consider that perhaps God has a higher purpose He wants to bring about through our suffering?

Waiting for God to Show Up

Date: May 3, 2009 | Speaker:

Nobody likes to wait, especially when you feel like God doesn’t hear your prayers and that He is never going to show up! But the first command Jesus gave His followers just before He ascended to heaven was to… WAIT. Does God have you in wait mode right now? If so, just hold on and know that He has not forgotten you. His timing will prove to be perfect!

Protection from the Enemy

Date: February 1, 2009 | Speaker:

As we live out our new life in Christ, we must realize that our enemy, Satan, is constantly trying to attack us. Where are your weak spots, and what are you doing to protect yourself from the enemy’s attacks in those areas? The Bible has given us everything we need to stand against Satan’s attacks… do you know how to use these spiritual weapons to protect yourself?

God is God, Even When We Don’t Understand

Date: September 7, 2008 | Speaker:

The topic of Predestination has caused a lot of debate among Christians over the years. The truth is, we will never fully understand this matter, and we must learn to simply trust God with the unknown parts. The Bible tells us that God is God and He will always do what is right, even when we don’t understand Him.

When God Messes Up Your Plans

Date: May 25, 2008 | Speaker:

The only way to follow God into the life’s purpose that He has for each of us is to let go of things that are holding us back. We must completely surrender to God and be willing to let Him mess up our plans. But none of us are good at surrendering. We all want to have things our own way. Yet the Bible makes it unmistakably clear that as followers of Christ, we must be willing to yield our plans to His plans and follow wherever He leads.

Why Should I Believe in God?

Date: March 16, 2008 | Speaker:

How can we know God really exists? We’ve never seen Him or talked to Him in person, so what evidence is there for us to know that He is real? In this message we will explore a number of solid reasons to believe in God, including 1) the evidence of intelligent design in the universe–creation vs. evolution, 2) the universal sense of right and wrong, and 3) the universal need to worship.

Why Should I Believe the Bible? (Part 3)

Date: March 9, 2008 | Speaker:

Without a doubt, one of the greatest proofs of the Bible’s claims of Divine inspiration is the fulfillment of hundreds of prophecies with absolute pinpoint accuracy, each of which can be verified by secular history. More than 300 prophecies were fulfilled by Jesus alone, including events He could not have controlled, like the exact time, place, and circumstances of His own birth! The chances of just eight of those prophecies being fulfilled in one person has been calculated to be 1 in 10 to the 17th power. Thats 1 in 100,000,000,000,000,000. And Jesus fulfilled more than 300 such prophecies!

He is Able!

Date: January 6, 2008 | Speaker:

We don’t serve a God who is “somewhat” able to do certain things. We don’t serve a God who is good at some things, but not so good at other things. Ephesians 3:20 tells us that God is able to do “exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think.” Whatever mountains you may be facing in your life, God has the power to move them. Nothing is too difficult for Him!
