Evidence of a Thankful Heart

Date: July 17, 2016 | Speaker:

Have you ever looked down on someone because of their sinful lifestyle? What that actually reveals is that we do not understand what awful sinners we ourselves are. Today we look at a man who didn’t think he was a sinner, and a woman who knew she was, and how her awareness of her great sin caused her to express extravagant thankfulness to Jesus.

The Sinner Who Went to Heaven

Date: July 10, 2016 | Speaker:

When a person is saved, how long should it take for the evidence of that to show up in their life? How about the same day! Regardless of how sinful our past may be or how little we know about the Bible, the moment we are saved, we become a new creation, and the evidence will be visible in us. Today we witness the life-changing encounter one man had with Jesus, and we see how his life was instantly made new! Have you had this encounter with Jesus?

Satisfied In Christ

Date: June 19, 2016 | Speaker:

C.S Lewis wrote in Mere Christianity; “If I find in myself a desire which no experience in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that I was made for another world”. We have hopes, dreams, and expectations in life. But what happens when those dreams, hopes, and expectations aren’t fulfilled. Do we react like a 3 year old whose balloon just popped, or is there something better to ground us as we experience the ebbs and flows of life?

Sustained Through Humility

Date: June 12, 2016 | Speaker:

Jesus Christ is a great man. He is wise, compassionate, gentle, approachable, loving, caring. As a man he is top of the charts for a potential husband. He is the Son of God and is one with his Father. His bride, the church, is made up of people, but what kind of people? And how does Jesus show his love for his bride?

God’s Love Came to Us

Date: April 17, 2016 | Speaker:

God showed us what love looks like by sending His Son into the world to save us while we were still in our sin. He took the initiative and came to us without waiting for us to come to Him. And now we have been called to take His love and truth into the world to those who do not know Him. Are we taking the initiative to love others the way He loved us?

Love Is Not a Feeling

Date: April 3, 2016 | Speaker:

Fish are known for swimming. Birds are known for flying. What are Christians known for? This question brings many different answers depending on who you ask, but the one thing Jesus said we should be known for is our love. John said if we don’t love others we’re guilty of murder! Today we take an honest look at our own lives to see if we are truly loving others the way Jesus loved us.

Never Forget

Date: March 20, 2016 | Speaker:

There is a tendency in human nature to take for granted the sacrifices that have been made for us during our lifetime. We often forget the blood of the patriots who gave their lives defending our freedom. We often forget the martyrs who gave their lives defending the Gospel. But are we also guilty of forgetting the greatest sacrifice ever made for us when Christ gave His life on the cross?

Christmas Eve 2015

Date: December 24, 2015 | Speaker:

Why would the King of heaven choose to enter the world in such lowly circumstances; born in a stable to an unwed teenage mother, welcomed only by shepherds who were among the lowest people in society? Because Jesus came to be a Savior for all people… for ALL people… and that includes you! This Christmas, rejoice in knowing that His love extends to all those who are willing to receive Him.

The Preparation for Christmas

Date: December 20, 2015 | Speaker:

As we rush all over town preparing for Christmas, have we ever stopped to consider all that God did to prepare mankind for the coming of His Son into the world that first Christmas so long ago? The lengths God went to may surprise you, but even after all that, most people still rejected Him. What about you? In all your preparations for Christmas, have you prepared your own heart to receive Him?

While We Were Still Sinners

Date: November 29, 2015 | Speaker:

Who would you die for? Most of us would be quick to say that we would die for our children, our spouse, and perhaps even a small select group of others; but that’s the easy answer. Would you die for a murderer? Would you die for a rapist? Would you die for a member of ISIS? The fact is, Jesus did die for those people, and His selfless sacrifice makes it possible for all of us sinners to be made right with God forever!

What If We Loved Like Jesus?

Date: October 4, 2015 | Speaker:

Jesus said the two most important commandments are to love God and love others. As the church, we typically spend most of our time together expressing our love for God, but how well are we doing at loving others, especially those who are not like us? Are we better at pointing fingers of criticism at the lost than we are at going out and actually loving them? What would happen if the church learned how to love like Jesus?
