Don’t Just Make a Living. Make a Life!

Date: March 10, 2013 | Speaker:

God has a specific purpose for every one of us to play in His redemptive mission on this earth. He has a “life purpose” for us that is bigger than our “life provision.” The trouble is, we spend most of our life pursuing our provision instead of pursuing our purpose. Our life provision is how we make a living… our life purpose is how we make a life! Once you begin to discover your life purpose, you will discover a life of real meaning and joy far beyond the daily 8-5 grind, and you will then be able to live with confidence, knowing exactly what your role is in God’s great plan!

Surrendering Your Future to God’s Will

Date: January 6, 2013 | Speaker:

The night before Jesus went to the cross, He agonized over that step of obedience so deeply that the Bible says His soul was overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death! He asked His Father if there was any other way, but He concluded that prayer by saying, “…not my will, but Thy will be done.” Jesus was willing to surrender His future to God because he trusted His Father completely. He let go of everything that might have held Him back from total obedience. What about you? Is there anything holding you back from fully surrendering your future to God’s will?

Walking in the New Life, Part 4: Our Words

Date: July 22, 2012 | Speaker:

Our words… God has a lot to say about them, but are we paying attention? As His children, we hold the power to speak words of life or death. And whatever is in our hearts is what will come out of our mouths. Let’s take a close look at the truth of what God wants to hear from His children.

Choose Carefully What You Chase After in Life

Date: January 22, 2012 | Speaker:

What do you think the richest, most popular, most successful man in history might say about life when he reached the end? The fact is, we don’t have to wonder… we can know exactly what he said by reading the book of Ecclesiastes. Solomon had it all. He spared himself no pleasure and denied himself nothing his eyes saw. Yet he reached the end and summed it up by saying that he hated life, and all his pursuits were meaningless. Are the things you’re chasing after going to matter in eternity, or will they run through your fingers like sand?

The Hope that Christmas Brings

Date: December 18, 2011 | Speaker:

The coming of Jesus into the world has had an unmistakable, undeniable impact on history… but has His coming affected you personally in any way? It is only because He came that life can have true meaning and purpose beyond the routine of the daily grind. Because He came, we can have lasting peace even in a world of turmoil. Because He came, we can receive complete forgiveness of our sins and have a personal relationship with God. No greater Gift has ever been given. Have you allowed this Gift to change your life?

Are You Being Faithful Where You Are?

Date: July 10, 2011 | Speaker:

Someone once said, “If you can’t be faithful where you are, you won’t be faithful where you ain’t.” We spend far too much of our lives “planning on” being faithful to God “one day.” We think, when we have more money, we’ll give… when we have more time, we’ll serve. But God is not interested in what we’re planning on doing for Him 10 years from now if we’re not being faithful today. Are you being faithful right now where you are with what you have?

Christ on the Cross: A Picture of Grace, Part 1

Date: March 27, 2011 | Speaker:

Many people have tried to define the word Grace, but the greatest definition of grace is when Jesus took our sins upon himself and died on the cross in our place. He became sin for us, so that we might receive His righteousness. He willingly took our punishment and suffered God’s wrath for us. There is no greater picture of grace. When is the last time you remembered and gave thanks for all that Jesus endured and accomplished on the cross for you?

Self in the Dirt: A Picture of Repentance, Part 2

Date: March 6, 2011 | Speaker:

The Bible says that our lives must bear fruit that gives evidence of our repentance, but in order for fruit to grow, God must prune away any areas that are not of Him. This process is often painful, but in the end, it is the only thing that brings true life and true joy! What areas of your life are you holding back and not allowing God to trim away? Surrender yourself to His skillful hands and allow Him to shape you into the image of His Son.

Self in the Dirt: A Picture of Repentance, Part 1

Date: February 27, 2011 | Speaker:

When you hear the word “repent,” who do you think of? Is there a person or a group of people who, in your mind, are doing something terribly sinful of which they need to repent? It is so easy for us to point a guilty finger at others, while completely overlooking our own need to humble ourselves before God and repent of the things in our life that are breaking His heart. Repentance always comes before revival. Are we willing to turn from whatever wrongs God wants to reveal to us… including the subtle sin of indifference?
