The Eternal Man

Date: January 26, 2014 | Speaker:

“This world is not our home; we are looking forward to our city in heaven, which is yet to come.” – Heb. 13:14 (NLT). God is bringing His plan of redemption to pass, and throughout history we can see the different ways that plan is being brought about. We are living in the age of grace and are looking forward to the age of the kingdom. 2 Cor. 6:2 says “Now is the day of salvation.” We should be getting acquainted with the eternal God today! How well do you know Him? Is He sitting on the throne of your heart, or are you?

Requirements For True Worship

Date: January 12, 2014 | Speaker:

To paraphrase Mark 7:6-7 & Matt. 15:8-9 Jesus says that people attempted to honor God with their lips but because their hearts did not belong to God their worship was in vain. They placed a high value on following their traditions that they had set in place, but the very traditions replaced the object of their worship; not intentionally I’m sure, but this is the case. There are two specific requirements that must be met for worship to be genuine, or true; Knowing God, and Falling Down before Him. If these two prerequisites are not met, worship of God is in vain. Do you know God? Have you fallen down before him?

The Wise Men Fall Down

Date: December 24, 2013 | Speaker:

The events surrounding Jesus birth are so amazing when we pause and meditate on what took place. Specifically to focus our thoughts on the wise men and compare them with Harod and the Jewish Scribes, some interesting facts pop out. The wise men came to fall down before an infant; Harod was not willing to. What’s so significant about falling down? Have we fallen down before Jesus?

The Spiritual Man

Date: December 8, 2013 | Speaker:

God has a plan and a purpose that He is bringing to pass. Through the ages, there are different degrees to which the world has experienced God; Innocence, Conscience, Human Government, Promise, Law. Living in the age of grace now, our experience with God is dependent upon our cooperation with the Spirit of God. We cannot gain true wisdom, knowledge, understanding, or counsel without the Holy Spirit. We must learn to trust Him over our own senses and understanding. We will only begin to trust Him over our own senses if we know who He is. We will only know who He is, when we choose to read His word, trusting His Spirit to reveal to us who He is.

Are You Living Life With the End in View?

Date: November 6, 2011 | Speaker:

Life is busy. In the rush of work, school, raising children, paying bills, making plans… when is the last time you thought about heaven? It is so easy for us to get swamped under the demands and pursuits of this life, that all our attention and energy becomes focused entirely on earthly things. As followers of Christ, we must intentionally allow the reality of eternity to impact the way we live our lives today. Rather than getting wrapped up in the things of this world, we must have the wisdom to live life with the end in view!

Self in the Dirt: A Picture of Repentance, Part 1

Date: February 27, 2011 | Speaker:

When you hear the word “repent,” who do you think of? Is there a person or a group of people who, in your mind, are doing something terribly sinful of which they need to repent? It is so easy for us to point a guilty finger at others, while completely overlooking our own need to humble ourselves before God and repent of the things in our life that are breaking His heart. Repentance always comes before revival. Are we willing to turn from whatever wrongs God wants to reveal to us… including the subtle sin of indifference?

Don’t Lose Your First Love

Date: February 17, 2008 | Speaker:

As Christians, it is possible for us to have solid doctrine, impeccable church attendance, generous giving and faithful service, but to be doing all those things out of routine rather than out of a heart of love for the Lord. The Bible strongly warns us against worshiping God in this way. Today’s message is a reminder of the danger of losing our first love.
