When we’re physically thirsty, we know that a cool glass of water will quench that need. But when we’re spiritually dry, we often look in all the wrong places, trying one thing after another to quiet the longing inside us. Eventually, we realize that the things we pursue simply cannot fill the ache within. Then we hear Jesus speak these life-giving words: “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink.” Have you ever laid aside everything else and come honestly to the One who alone can satisfy your deepest yearning? Jesus offers more than temporary relief; He offers the living water of forgiveness, peace, and eternal life. Come to Him today, and let Him refresh your soul.

A Call to Prayer
How strange would it be in any church if the pastor stopped right in the middle of the service, canceled the plans for the morning, and called the entire church to a prayer meeting right then and there? Would people feel awkward? Would they leave? Would visitors ever come back? Well that’s exactly what happened at LifePoint Church this morning, and instead of anyone leaving or being offended, the power of God moved mightily, and lives were greatly impacted. Oh that we would remember the power of prayer!
