Your Worst Can Become God’s Best

Date: October 27, 2019 | Speaker:

Anyone watching Moses during the middle years of his life would have concluded that he would never amount to anything. He was a murderer and a fugitive who ended up living in a desert. Surely he had completely ruined his chances of ever being useful to God. Yet, behind the scenes, God was using all these things to prepare Moses for one of the most important assignments in the Bible. Are there failures, fears or disappointments in your life holding you back? Those may be the very things God uses for your greatest service to Him in the days to come!

We Are God’s Image Bearers

Date: February 3, 2019 | Speaker:

God created all the animals, birds, fish and plants after their own kind, but He made human beings in the image and likeness of God. Every day, in every situation, wherever we go, whatever we’re doing, whatever we’re saying, always remember that we are bearing the image of God! We are His representatives to the world, reflecting His image to others. Are they seeing the best possible picture of God in us? Is the image of God in us so beautiful that it draws people to Him, or drives them away? This is a wonderful privilege we’ve been given, and also a great responsibility.

Don’t Forget Who’s in Charge!

Date: January 27, 2019 | Speaker:

In our country, citizens can vote leaders in or out of office, but in days of old when kings ruled, they had absolute authority over their entire domain. Everyone who lived within the king’s domain were his subjects. The Bible begins in Genesis 1 with an amazing display of God’s power and authority, letting us know that He is King over everything. From the smallest ant to the biggest galaxy, all creation obeys His voice. But do we? Do our thoughts, our words and our actions give evidence that God is the ruler of our lives, and that we are living in subjection and obedience to Him?

A True Disciple Lives by Godly Convictions

Date: October 28, 2018 | Speaker:

“Renounce your faith in Christ and live, or else you will be put to death!” Countless believers have had to face that decision over the centuries. How would you respond if you were given that choice? Would your faith stand firm or would it crumble? The time to determine that is not then; it’s right now. What biblical convictions are you building into your life now that would enable you to walk through such a moment of crisis? Without those convictions in place, we will never be able to even live for Christ, much less die for Him!

A True Disciple is Saved and Surrendered

Date: September 30, 2018 | Speaker:

The first mark of a true disciple is that he is saved. Jesus said there are many people doing religious things in His name, yet they will be turned away from heaven because they were never really born again. But salvation is just the first step. Once we’re saved, we cannot continue to run our own lives. We must turn over the throne of our heart to Him, surrendering everything to His leadership. It is difficult to give up control, but the truth is, our lives will never make sense or be fulfilling until the One who made us is completely in charge.

You are the Light of the World

Date: September 23, 2018 | Speaker:

If you light a candle in a room that is already filled with light, the candle will not make any difference. But light that same candle in a totally dark room, and the darkness will disappear. The Bible tells us that we live in a world of spiritual darkness, and that we are to be a light in that darkness. Our light was never meant to be kept inside the church. It was meant to be taken into the dark world. Is there anyone in your circle of influence who could use your light right now?

You are the Salt of the Earth

Date: September 16, 2018 | Speaker:

The next time you reach for the salt, stop and think about something. Salt doesn’t do any good if it is left inside the salt shaker. It has to be poured out to be of any use. The same is true of us. As followers of Christ, He has called us to be salt to the world around us, which means we need to actually come in contact with unsaved people. And when we do, what affect should “our salt” have on them? Today’s message explores some of the powerful ways Christ can influence others through us.

Blessed are Those Who Hunger and Thirst

Date: July 29, 2018 | Speaker:

Imagine being lost alone in a vast desert with no food or water. After several days your body loses all strength and you know that you can’t survive much longer. You would give everything you own for even a sip of water or a small bite of food. This is the kind of intense hunger and thirst Jesus said we should have for righteousness. It should be our first desire and a lifelong pursuit so that our lives will bring Him glory. What are you pursuing above everything else?

Is God’s Will Your Will?

Date: February 18, 2018 | Speaker:

The next time you see a toddler throwing a tantrum because he doesn’t want to obey his parents, just remember that we all come into the world demanding our own way. None of us really want to submit to anyone else. We sometimes even try to get God to agree to our plans rather than surrendering to His plans. But when we can pray “Your will be done” and truly mean it, we will begin to discover God’s very best for our life.

Living in View of Eternity

Date: January 7, 2018 | Speaker:

The Bible tells us repeatedly that our lives are very short, and it urges us to live out our brief days wisely. In view of that reality, the looming question is, what are we doing to guarantee that our time on this earth will matter for all eternity? We begin this new year by looking at the extraordinary wisdom found in Psalm 90, and we learn how to count our days so that we can make sure our days will count.
