God is Not Your Good Luck Charm

Date: January 24, 2021 | Speaker:

A spare tire. An insurance policy. A fire extinguisher. These are things we keep around somewhere in case of an emergency. Usually they’re out of sight gathering dust because we never think about them until something goes wrong. Sadly, some people treat God this way. They have no time for Him, but the minute trouble comes, they run and grab God like He’s some kind of good luck charm, begging Him to fix their problems. If this has been your view of God, there is a much better relationship he desires to have with you!

The Spiritual Collapse of a Nation

Date: November 8, 2020 | Speaker:

How is it possible for a nation to be founded upon the Word of God, yet end up completely corrupted by sin and wickedness? The Book of Judges says this happens when everyone begins doing what is right in their own eyes. Any nation that abandons the moral absolutes of God will soon drift off course and become foolish in their thinking, and this will ultimately lead to their downfall. Has this already happened to America, and if so, how can we correct our course before it’s too late?

The Downward Spiral of Sin

Date: November 1, 2020 | Speaker:

No one ever thinks that sin will completely destroy their life. Sin usually starts out small, but it continues to grow until one day it has control over us and we find ourselves enslaved by it. Disobeying God in some small way today may not seem like a big deal, but it will eventually lead us to a destination we never intended to go! We must be alert to the small areas of disobedience in our life, and never be content to let them go unchecked.

When Victory is Followed by Defeat

Date: October 4, 2020 | Speaker:

Throughout history, many victories on the battlefield have been immediately followed by crushing defeat. This is a syndrome called Victory Disease. It is brought on when the euphoria of winning dulls the senses and creates a feeling of invincibility. The same thing happens in the Christian life. We’re standing one day and crawling the next. We must never let down our guard, especially in moments of triumph.

Seek the Lord While He May Be Found

Date: September 27, 2020 | Speaker:

How long can a person continue ignoring God and pursuing sin before judgement comes? Throughout the Bible we see the incredible patience of God towards those who keep turning away from Him. He gives them many opportunities to repent, but the clock is ticking on His patience, and one day it will end. Are you still running from God? Call on Him today before it’s too late!

The Danger of Living in Disobedience

Date: September 20, 2020 | Speaker:

“It’s just a small sin… it’s no big deal!” We are so quick to convince ourselves that God is willing to tolerate our sin, as long as we are still going to church, giving some money, and doing religious things. But even the smallest amount of known sin in our lives contaminates our entire relationship with God, just as a small amount of poison contaminates an entire glass of water. Are there areas of disobedience in your life that you have been tolerating? Bring them to God today!

Why Blood Was Required to Forgive Sins

Date: November 10, 2019 | Speaker:

Are you going to heaven when you die? How do you know that for sure? Do you think it’s because you’ve been a good person, or given money to the church, or because your parents were Christians? The truth is, none of those things will get you to heaven. There is only one way, and that is through the cleansing blood of Jesus Christ who gave His life as the required payment for sin. God’s judgement for sin is coming, and the only way you will be saved from that judgement is if you have applied the blood to your life.

The Gracious Wounds of God

Date: September 22, 2019 | Speaker:

At times in life we tend to go our own way instead of walking with God. In fact, sometimes we don’t just walk away from Him, we actually run! But if we truly belong to Him, He will not let us run forever. Often He will have to break us, wound us, in order to keep us from going astray and forgetting our dependence upon Him. These wounds might be painful, but they are really the marks of grace. They are proof that He knows us and loves us enough to keep us close to His side.

God’s Love is Bigger Than Your Failures

Date: September 8, 2019 | Speaker:

Jacob had ruined his life. He had lied to and cheated his family, and now he was about to pay! When his brother threatened to kill him, Jacob fled for his life, and while running away from his sin, he ran straight into God! Surprisingly, God met Jacob in love, and it changed his life. Sometimes we also try to run from the consequences of our sin, but we must remember that God’s love is greater than our sin! He longs to restore us to Himself if we will just surrender.

What Gives God the Right to Judge Me?

Date: June 30, 2019 | Speaker:

Maybe you’ve heard someone say, “If God is loving and kind, He would never judge anyone!” That may sound logical, but those same people cry out for justice and judgement the instant their child or spouse falls victim to a terrible crime. Their actions prove that wrong doing and evil must be judged. The lack of justice is, itself, wrong. Today we look at the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah and see why judgement had to fall. But we also see that God’s desire to save is far greater than His desire to punish!

How to Escape the Coming Judgement

Date: March 24, 2019 | Speaker:

God gave Noah a ridiculous command to build a massive ship nowhere near water and prepare to load thousands of animals on board. But as foolish as this command sounded, Noah obeyed everything God told him to do. Because of his faith in God and his obedience, Noah and his family were saved from the judgement that soon came and destroyed the earth. God’s judgement is coming again, and no one will be able to stand against it on their own. But God has already provided a Way of escape. Do you know how to find it?

Are You Still Hiding from God?

Date: February 24, 2019 | Speaker:

Satan enticed Adam and Eve to sin against God, and the first thing they became aware of was their nakedness. Their shame forced them to cover themselves and go into hiding from God’s presence. Sin still causes us to do the very same thing today. It strips us bare and leaves us feeling shame and guilt, so our first instinct is to hide from God. But just as God came calling for Adam, He is calling for us to come and be forgiven and clothed by Him. Are you willing to come out of hiding into His presence?
