But Take Heart

Date: February 16, 2020 | Speaker:

Life in this world can be difficult. Jesus knew this better than anyone, and he did not try to paint an unrealistic picture for His followers. But He also puts these difficulties in proper perspective. When trials and sorrows come our way, we should remember what He says! Listen and be encouraged by the hope Jesus brings to those who remain in Him.

Why Blood Was Required to Forgive Sins

Date: November 10, 2019 | Speaker:

Are you going to heaven when you die? How do you know that for sure? Do you think it’s because you’ve been a good person, or given money to the church, or because your parents were Christians? The truth is, none of those things will get you to heaven. There is only one way, and that is through the cleansing blood of Jesus Christ who gave His life as the required payment for sin. God’s judgement for sin is coming, and the only way you will be saved from that judgement is if you have applied the blood to your life.

Reactions to the Resurrection

Date: April 21, 2019 | Speaker:

The followers of Jesus all had different reactions to hearing the news that He had risen from the dead. One wanted to hold onto a feeling to be sure it was true. Others had to see it for themselves or be given physical proof before they would believe. We still struggle with similar reactions in our own Christian walk. Often our faith fluctuates based on how we feel, or by what we can see, but we must be sure our faith is anchored in something much deeper.

The Gifts of Christmas

The Gift of Peace

Date: December 24, 2018 | Speaker:

In December 1914, several countries were engaged in one of the bloodiest battles the world had ever seen. But they reached a stalemate and could not advance any further. The troops dug trenches and continued to lob artillery at one another. Then something unexpected and amazing happened on Christmas Eve. Both sides began to sing “Silent Night”, and as their voices filled the cold night air, peace filled their hearts, and soon they met in the middle to shake hands as friends and brothers. Jesus is the only One who can bring true peace into our troubled lives. Do you know this peace?

Communing with God

Date: November 25, 2018 | Speaker:

Often we read how we are to behave and what we are to do as followers of Christ. How do we find the power and inspiration to do it and continue when it gets difficult? The key is keeping in constant contact with the Father. It’s by communing (praying) and reading His Word.

A True Disciple Walks in the Spirit

Date: October 21, 2018 | Speaker:

Have you ever prayed, “God, I’m sorry for that sin. I promise I’ll never do it again!” You sincerely meant those words, and you were more determined than ever to do better, but even your most valiant attempts to live a holy life always leave you frustrated and defeated. There’s a good reason we continue to fail in our efforts to live for God, and the Bible tells us how to break these patterns of defeat. By ourselves, we are incapable of living holy lives, but the Spirit of God in us can! Are you allowing Him to live His life through you?

A True Disciple is Obedient and Loving

Date: October 7, 2018 | Speaker:

We all have our own ideas of what love is, but the Bible provides the only true definition. It tells us that we cannot just say we love God and love others; our actions must back up our words. We prove our love for God, not by talking about it, but by obeying His commands. And we prove our love for others, not through words, but by serving them and sacrificing ourselves for them, just as Jesus did for us. If we don’t obey God, we don’t love Him. If we’re not serving others, we don’t love them. So, how is your love?

A True Disciple is Saved and Surrendered

Date: September 30, 2018 | Speaker:

The first mark of a true disciple is that he is saved. Jesus said there are many people doing religious things in His name, yet they will be turned away from heaven because they were never really born again. But salvation is just the first step. Once we’re saved, we cannot continue to run our own lives. We must turn over the throne of our heart to Him, surrendering everything to His leadership. It is difficult to give up control, but the truth is, our lives will never make sense or be fulfilling until the One who made us is completely in charge.

Our Redeeming God and His New Covenant

Date: April 29, 2018 | Speaker:

Starting with the fall of Adam and Eve, we see clearly the sobering consequences of sin. To know the truth is to know that our God is unchanging about sin. He is holy and righteous, and our sins cannot be overlooked. But God has provided a way for us to be saved from our sins. He offers this path of salvation through a new covenant; the Messianic Covenant. We either accept this new covenant and abide by the terms, or we reject it altogether and choose our own path; a choice that Jesus described as leading to destruction. Join us as we uncover the truth about God’s New Covenant offer, and the reason it is described as such good news!

Our Unchanging God of Righteousness

Date: April 15, 2018 | Speaker:

In order to understand our need of freedom from sin, we must first understand our God. Many know He is a God of love, but He is also a God of righteousness, and our knowledge of these two qualities must be kept in balance. Listen as we take a look at what Scripture tells us about our righteous God, including an eye-opening glimpse at some of His righteous acts.

The Body of Christ

Date: March 25, 2018 | Speaker:

It’s easy to forget the context in which the New Testament writers, and Jesus himself, taught us about taking part in the Lord’s Supper. In examining the context more closely, it becomes clear what Jesus was communicating to His followers. Listen as we take a closer look at the heart of what Jesus was passing on to us to not only remember through our knowing, but to also remember through our doing.
