As LifePoint begins to take our first step towards world missions, there are three key words that will define our entire focus… PRAY, GIVE, GO! We must always remember that the starting point is prayer. Today’s message is a reminder to everyone of the incredible power that comes through prayer, and a challenge for us all to begin this journey on our knees.
Did you know it is possible to worship God and have all the right elements in place, to do and say all the right things, but to actually be worshiping Him in vain? The Bible tells of times when God’s people were going through the motions of worship, but their hearts were far from Him, and it describes how much this broke God’s heart and angered Him. If we could ever catch a glimpse of who God really is — how powerful and holy and awesome He is — our worship would never be the same again! All other things would disappear from view, and we would worship God as He truly deserves.
We don’t serve a God who is “somewhat” able to do certain things. We don’t serve a God who is good at some things, but not so good at other things. Ephesians 3:20 tells us that God is able to do “exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think.” Whatever mountains you may be facing in your life, God has the power to move them. Nothing is too difficult for Him!
