In teaching about money, Jesus reminded us that we are to be rich toward God. He used an encounter with a man and a parable to teach us to be on our guard against greed, to view our money/resources as God’s and that accumulating money/resources for ourselves is futile. How are you viewing and handling the money/resources that God has given you? Are you being rich toward God?
God can work in surprising ways to accomplish His purposes in your life. Just as He stirred the heart of a pagan king to release the Israelites from exile, God can use unexpected people and circumstances to move on your behalf. Regardless of the opposition or obstacles that stand in your way, take heart knowing that no barrier is too great for our God to overcome! Even what seems like chaos is orchestrated by God’s unseen hand. When problems or discouragement arise, trust in God’s faithfulness and power, knowing that He can do the impossible!
God has given each of us particular abilities, but He has done so for a reason. He wants us to develop these abilities into skills in order to use them for His purposes. There are good works God has prepared for us to do which require these skills. Not only that, but our experience with these skills, and our life experiences in general, will be quite valuable. Join us as we consider the significance of our skills and experience.

Memories of our past sins can weigh us down and immobilize us. Don’t waste time wallowing in your past failures or coasting on past successes. In this sovereignty, God presents all people with a choice… Follow His way that leads to life, or follow our own that leads to death. For those who choose His way, he then assigns to a mission… Tell others of the same choice He offers to them. They can accept or reject His way that leads to life. The mission is a matter of urgency! May this reminder inspire us all to action!

Whether we realize it or not, all of us will leave a legacy after we die, and the kind of legacy we leave will be determined by the life we’re living right now. If we remain committed to living for Christ and loving others, then we can pass on a godly legacy to those who come after us. The end of your life does not have to be the end of the impact your life will have. Your faith can go on living long after you’re gone!
Joseph of Arimathea went from a secret follower of Christ to a man who used what God had given him to courageously and sacrificially love His Lord. If God only called us to do things we could easily do, to give what we could easily give, then we really wouldn’t need Him at all.
