Finding What You’ve Been Searching For

Biblical Unity

Where Are Your Choices Taking You?

Getting Back on the Right Path

When we fail God, our first tendency is to hide from Him. But He graciously invites us to come back to Him so that He can restore us by His grace. When our relationships with people become strained, we prefer to avoid them, too. He humbled himself in order to resolve conflict so that God would be glorified through the situation.

The Day Man Met His Match

A True Disciple is Obedient and Loving

We all have our own ideas of what love is, but the Bible provides the only true definition. It tells us that we cannot just say we love God and love others; our actions must back up our words. We prove our love for God, not by talking about it, but by obeying His commands. And we prove our love for others, not through words, but by serving them and sacrificing ourselves for them, just as Jesus did for us. If we don’t obey God, we don’t love Him. If we’re not serving others, we don’t love them. So, how is your love?

Blessed are the Merciful

Deeply ingrained in every human heart is a desire for justice. This is part of the image of God that has been imprinted on our nature, but because of sin, our desire for justice has been distorted. It now lurks inside us, keeping track of all the ways other people have offended us, and constantly demanding that they pay for what they’ve done. But rather than seeking revenge, Jesus said His followers should be quick to show mercy by forgiving the debts of others, even if they don’t deserve it. After all, God forgave us of all our sin, and we did nothing to deserve it!

Are You Winning the Spiritual Battle?

Are You a Debt Collector?

There’s a lot of debt collecting taking place in the world, and not just the financial kind. When someone hurts us, we tend to hold that person in debt, convinced that they owe us something, and demanding that they pay us back for the wrong they’ve done. But Jesus says we must release others and forgive them, just as our heavenly Father has canceled our debt and forgiven us. So, are you a debt collector or a debt releaser?

Sticking Together in Hard Times
