The Blessing of Being Thirsty

Date: May 17, 2020 | Speaker:

Have you ever had to learn the same lesson more than once? Sometimes we fail to remember God’s blessings and provision from the past, and so new trials can cause us to doubt His faithfulness and provision. Our human tendency is to complain when we are in desperate need, but let’s learn instead that those very times are blessings in disguise. It’s in those moments that God has our full attention, because the struggles He has allowed to come our way cause us to run to Him!

Don’t Spend Your Life Going Nowhere

Date: May 10, 2020 | Speaker:

Fear takes a devastating toll on our lives. It paralyzes us from following God and keeps us trapped in the wilderness of doubt. Fear arises when we magnify the problems and minimize God’s promises; but faith grows when we minimize the problems by magnifying God’s promises. Which one are you doing today?

But Take Heart

Date: February 16, 2020 | Speaker:

Life in this world can be difficult. Jesus knew this better than anyone, and he did not try to paint an unrealistic picture for His followers. But He also puts these difficulties in proper perspective. When trials and sorrows come our way, we should remember what He says! Listen and be encouraged by the hope Jesus brings to those who remain in Him.

You’ll Never Be Good Enough!

Date: February 2, 2020 | Speaker:

Ask a hundred people to tell you who in this world will make it into heaven, and most of them will say, “The ones who are good, who don’t get drunk or do drugs or lie or cheat or steal, the ones who go to church, the ones who keep the Ten Commandments…” In other words, they’re saying if you perform good enough, God might let you in. But, in fact, the Bible says we can never be good enough to get into heaven. Well, that leaves us in a pretty bad spot! So what are we to do? If no one can be good enough to get into heaven, then how do we get there? Listen to today’s message for a look at the Ten Commandments that may surprise you.

The Road to Sinai

Date: January 26, 2020 | Speaker:

It took only days to get Israel out of Egypt but it took years to get Egypt out of Israel. This study reviews the beginning of Israel’s wilderness wanderings from the crossing of the Red sea to their arrival at Mt Sinai. It explores new evidence found in the last few decades that suggests we may be wrong about the traditional location of the mountain where God gave the 10 commandments.

When God Seems to Lead the Wrong Way

Date: January 12, 2020 | Speaker:

So, there you are, faithfully following God, when all of a sudden you find yourself right in the middle of another trial! Have you ever wondered why God leads you into so many tests of faith? Today we find the Israelites trapped between an approaching Egyptian army on one side and the Red Sea on the other. Why did God lead them there? Does He not care about them at all? Even though there was an easier route, God brought them to this crisis in order to show His power. Could it be that the situation you are wishing would disappear right now is the very thing God wants to use to show His power and strengthen your faith?

A Double-Minded Man

Date: July 28, 2019 | Speaker:

Have you ever wondered what this expression really means? Some Bible translations give a hint of the meaning behind “double-minded”, but they can still leave a lot to the reader to figure out. Listen and be encouraged as we explore the origins of this expression, and what the author was really saying when he used it in his letter.

When Hope Fades

Date: June 16, 2019 | Speaker:

Have you ever lost hope in something important? It’s a tough place to be that can cause us to make poor choices out of desperation. Abram and Sarai found themselves in that place, and they made a big mistake by taking matters into their own hands. But there is much to learn from it, and we should pay attention to what this historical account can teach us. Let’s prepare ourselves for those times when hope fades.

Don’t Stop Short of God’s Call

Date: April 28, 2019 | Speaker:

Growing up we were all taught the importance of finishing what we started. This is certainly good advice to live by, but it is even more important in our walk with God. Sometimes we leave things undone that God’s Word has already told us to do, simply because we don’t want to deal with them. We follow where God calls us, but only as long as we’re comfortable. A life lived this way will never see all that God has in store, but will, instead, have to be content with hearing the stories of great faith from those who chose not to settle for less.

It’s Time to Stop and Build an Altar

Date: March 31, 2019 | Speaker:

The first thing Noah and his family did when the flood ended was to build an altar and give thanks to God for delivering them. Altars were piles of rocks that also served as reminders of God’s faithfulness to future generations. When is the last time you stopped and “built an altar” in some way to give God thanks for His goodness to you, or to serve as a memorial to your family of God’s faithfulness? Why not make time to do it this week. You’ll be amazed at the impact it will have on your life and on the lives of those around you!

How to Escape the Coming Judgement

Date: March 24, 2019 | Speaker:

God gave Noah a ridiculous command to build a massive ship nowhere near water and prepare to load thousands of animals on board. But as foolish as this command sounded, Noah obeyed everything God told him to do. Because of his faith in God and his obedience, Noah and his family were saved from the judgement that soon came and destroyed the earth. God’s judgement is coming again, and no one will be able to stand against it on their own. But God has already provided a Way of escape. Do you know how to find it?

A Call to Remember

Date: March 17, 2019 | Speaker:

Jesus greatly anticipated His last Passover meal with His disciples. The Passover meal itself was to remember something very important, and it was in this setting that Jesus announced to His disciples the New Covenant, one to replace the old, a covenant that would be confirmed with His own blood. Again and again Scripture tells us to remember what happened concerning the old covenant and to remember this new and better covenant that God now offers to us. Listen as we take a closer look at some of what Scripture tells us concerning these things we are to remember.
